Slide ranch camp out

We spent a weekend at Slide Ranch in Marin, and we camped with other families on their land. It is a gorgeous place, and they have a bunch of different kid activities during the day, like milking the goats, making cheese, bread and butter, herb sachets… at night we had a bonfire and the next day we played at the beach and found a bunch of interesting animals. Definitively we’ll go back some other time.

Kirby Cove adventure

Last thursday we went off to an adventure with Moriah, Phil and the kids to Kirby Cove campground, right on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge. It was supposed to rain tons, but there would be possibly some patches of sun. Sure enough, we decided to go and how fun it was! It poured all night, it was one of the nights with more lightning in years, but during the times we were out we pretty much stayed dried. This campsite is awesome, you get there by car, beach right there and 2 amazing tree swings for kids. We had a fire and cooked hotdogs, smores (sp?) (the boys would have none of it!) and had fresh pancakes for breakfast. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to do it again! Pictures are from Moriah’s and our camera. Oh, and here is what the sky looked like that night. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2129246/Once-lifetime-picture-lightning-striking-San-Franciscos-Bay-Bridge.html#ixzz1s5C15Erz

A few weeks ago we went to Madison, Wisconsin for Sumner’s wedding. We only had the iphone for pics and didn’t take very many… but here they are!

Loosechange practice

Owen has been going to practice with Loosechange this last months, they are practicing for the SF Hip Hop festival. When practice is early enough, we take the kids, and they LOVE it! I bring a tupperware with oatmeal and milk and cinnamon, and they just enjoy the show and the food. From time to time they get to run around and do some cool footwork. Oh, the vending machine is a hit too. All those buttons to push…

The show is next weekend, and the boys and I will go see it a the theater, how exciting! Go Loosechange!

Nopalito

Fin and Teo have already a favorite restaurant in SF. Nopalito! “

“A vibrant neighborhood Mexican kitchen, celebrating the traditional cookery of Mexico and utilizing our philosophy of purchasing local, organic and sustainable ingredients.”
Their favorite dish: EMPANADAS. They just devour them!
Here is Fin enjoying the food…

Noni’s 70th birthday party

We just came back from Occidental where we celebrated Daidie’s 70th bday with all her friends. It was fantastic, magical, live music, dancing, amazing food and lots of love. The next day we met at Howard’s for breakfast and then went for a walk at OAEC. So beautiful! Most of the pictures are mine, but there are a few from Jim from OAEC, but they are so beautiful I had to add them. They are a bit out of order. Happy birthday Noni!

Sunday Streets-MIssion

We went again to the Sunday Streets in the Mission. TONS of people out, enjoying the good weather. So many people got Fin and Teo a little overwhelmed, but we managed to “skoot” some streets and get a slice of pizza at Arizmendi. Even the boys talked to a police men (which for some reason Teo is now afraid of…). I like this events.

Pancake party and Kirby Cove

Yesterday we had a great day. We started out with a pancake party with Moriah and Phil (and Soren, Matisse and Emi) and Dorota (and Kaio). they all came home and we ate yummy pancakes and the boys played together really nicely. Afterwards we decided to go on an adventure to Kirby Cove, a beautiful 1 mile hike down (and up later) to a beach with beautiful views of the GG bridge. The day was warm and beautiful. What a day!

San Pedro Valley County Park

Ens ho vam passar molt be, i tornant vam anar a sopar a un restaurant mexica.

It’s time for some digging!

Our garden is looking quite bare… but we have a great crew digging everyday, and building a deck and starting a small vegetable garden. I think pretty soon we will have a beautiful garden out here…

Uncle Rob in SF

So uncle Rob came a few weeks ago for a visit. It was his birthday! It didn’t go exactly how we had expected. That same weekend we were supposed to go to Stinson Beach with some friends. BUT… Teo started having pain on thursday night at the abdmen and then the next morning… to be short, we spent most of our weekend in the hospital, thinking Teo had appendicitis… We could spend very little time with Rob or our friends… leaving the hospital Teo was sad we hadn’t been able to sing Happy Birthday song to Rob, we even had bought two croisants at the hospital cafe to put a candle on it! Anyways, what uncle Rob did do was give two great gifts to the boys, a rocket for the beach (HUGE success) and an art box, that we are going through quickly, it’s super cute. Thanks uncle Rob, and hope next time we see you is a bit more relaxed…

Chez Panisse 40th

Chez Panisse celebrated its 40th birthday over the weekend, and we went to a morning event where we were allowed to manually grind flour, touch the goats (they were supposed to be milked, but we didn’t see it) and eat some fabulous food made by the children from The Edible Schoolyard.

First two days at school

It all went great. I only took pictures outside, one of these days I’ll take some inside so you get a sense of what it’s like. We all love it. Yey Sunset Coop! Will tell you more about it another day…

Steep Ravine cabins

Last week we took the kids to the Steep Ravine cabins, between Stinson and Muir beach. The location is amazing, just above the water. We made a fire (the boys love it!) and went to sleep with the sound of the ocean… They are just a few cabins, no water or electricity, they can fit up to 6 people. I definitively want to go back.  We played at the beach during the day, went out for dinner, spent the night at the cabin, and went for a hike the next morning. It was really nice, really recommend it. The pix aren’t great, we forgot the good camera and these are made with the iphone.

Avi i Iaia a SF 9

Els dies que van ser aqui vam anar a Big Sur, Monterey Aquarium, Pinnacles Monument, Point Pinole, Sonoma, Target (he, he)… i l’Owen i jo vam poder fer algunes sortides de dia i de nit mentre els avis feien de cangurs. Visca! Us trobem a faltar pero per sort tornareu a ser aqui d’aqui a 2 mesos.

Hey Daddy!

Owen is away to Chicago for one night and I got the boys these two silk clothes, which they loved. I took pictures of them wearing them and playing for daddy to see. See you soon daddy!

Lawrence Hall of Science

Hi seguirem anant.

new FLOR

We finally have installed a new rug for the kitchen, what we had before was just falling apart. What I like about FLOR is that it’s super easy to clean (just run it under the sink) and that we can take it with us once we move back to our house in SF (and since it’s modular we can adapt it to any room). So far the boys love it and they’ve been playing with it and the boxes that came with it all day.

bon dia!

more bikes

Hem comencat unes classes de ball (ballet i claque).

Daddy

Here is daddy reading books to the kids for nap time. As usually, it puts him to sleep, not them.

Happy Birthday Matt!!!

Pares i Nuria a SF

Bikes for big boys!

Finally, the kids can ride their Skuuts. What a great bike. They really go fast on the hill down, and can go much farther than if we were to walk. Two weeks ago we went ALL the way around Cesar Chavez Park. It was beautiful, and they did really well. Here are some pics of the big boys.

5th anniversary

One post without pictures of the boys… We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary… incredible! Noni babysat all day (thanks!) so we got to go to the SF MOMA (exhibit Calder to Warhol) , see the progress of our house remodel, lunch at Gather, and a wonderful bike ride in Tilden Park. Perfect! A full day without the kids… unbelievable…

Outdoor Learning class

The last three weeks we have been going to the Outdoor Learning class at the Discovery Museum in Sausalito, and the boys have been able to observe closely squirmy worms, little crabs, geese swimming in the beach, “paint” the trees, water the plants,…. lots of fun! Here are the pictures.

SANT JORDI

Bona diada a tothom!

Waldorf May Day

On May 1st we celebrated May Day at the Golden Gate Park and joined the Waldorf School songs and dances. It was really pretty, the boys really wanted to join them all in the dancing around the pole. Afterwards we made the little crowns and hide in the bushes.

Trapeze class

We took a trapeze class with the boys a few weeks ago. We had so much fun, and the best of all is that the teacher was catalan! bizarre… The boys didn’t quite get off the floor, but had a blast dragging themselves around and jumping on top of mommy attached to the trapeze. We’ll do it again for sure!

Glen Park with the playgroup

A few weeks ago we went to Glen Park with the playgroup. Katya prepared a fun game for the kids where they had to look for different things in the park and put them in the bag. Trevor, Fin and Teo were super excited about it. Lexi was just looking super cool with her rain jacket and enjoying the little stroller. After playing in the sand some of us went to cross the little river, exciting! Not very many opportunities to use the rain boots here.

Ring Mountain

First time snow/Neu per primera vegada

La primera reaccio del Teo quan va tocar la neu va ser…:”Teo no like it” (mireu el video). Comencem be. Fantastic!

Avis a San Francisco

Trailer

We bought a bike trailer almost a year ago at a twins consignment sale, but until today we had never used it. At the time the boys hated getting in the stroller or car and then it was too cold to take them out in that. So today we decided to give it a try, and it was so fun! We went to the Golden Gate Park, and it was a real success. We passed by tunnels, fields of flowers, lake with duckies, a waterfall… I am looking forward to the next trailer outing!

Rodeo Beach

Fotos i video d’ahir a Rodeo Beach (molt a prop de San Francisco) on els nens van estar jugant a la sorra i amb l’aigua.

My Gym with Noni
