We visited our friends Catrine, Scott and Bianca to have a swedish breakfast (pancakes!). It was so much fun. Elliott brought a 6 feet inflatable elephant, and Calle taught the boys how to say ROCK’N ROLL!!! (with Calle’s jacket on) Now this is all what they say ALL the time, ROCK’N ROLL!!!
We have recently joined a playgroup of other moms in the neighborhood that have children the same age as F and T. Although I’ve seen them only twice so far, I can tell we are going to have a really good time. This week we went to the zoo, and a side from everyone being terrified about the HUGE goats, we had a great time. The owls and the steam train were a big hit. Something amazing happened, we were able to sit ALL the children together to take a picture, I would have never thought that was possible. Click here to see all the pictures. Also the video shows the enthusiasm the boys have with the word Owl, I guess they need to say it loud. The same happens with the word Airplane: AAAAA-irplane!!!
Aquest ultim mes m’he ajuntat a un grup de mares de nens de la mateixa edat del F i el T que es troben per fer coses juntes amb els nens. Fins ara nomes hi he anat dues vegades pero em sembla que ens agradara. Aquesta setmana hem anat al zoo i a part de lo espantats que tots els nens estaven amb les ENORMES cabres, ens ho vam passar molt be. Els mussols i el tren de vapor van ser els guanyadors. I sorprenentment vam poder fer una foto de tots els nens junts sense que se n’anessin per totes bandes. Cliqueu aqui per veure totes les fotos. El vide ensenya l’entusiasme que el T i el F tenen per dir la paraula Owl (mussol), sembla que nomes ho poden dir cridant. Passa el mateix amb la paraula airplane (avio): AAA-irplane!!!

Here is a funny video of myself. Even though I’ve been in the US for about 5 years, there’s some words or combination of words that are still hard to pronounce. Here I am having a good time playing the guitar and Owen is just pushing my buttons wanting me to say it all right… I’ll make him say “setze jutges d’un jutjat mengen fetge d’un penjat”… wait for this video.
Aquest es un video de ja fa temps, quan el pare i la mare van venir aqui. A veure si quan ens veiem el Setembre ja diuem mes coses que “dagull, dagull, dagulll!!!”
Fa dues setmanes vam anar a Nova York al Festival per al Frankie Manning. La Marta tambe hi va venir des de Barcelona i ens va ajudar amb els nens portant-los a tot arreu. Ens ho vam passar molt be, he penjat un video petit de la Marta i els nens, quan tingui mes fotos ja les penjare.
Ahir vam anar al Zoo. Va ser la primera vegada que els nens van veure ovelles i cabres… estaven una mica cansats perque no havien fet migdiada i estan encostipats, pero a part d’aixo ens ho vam passar molt be.
Yesterday we went to the Zoo. It was the first time that the boys saw goats and sheeps… they were a little tired because they hadn’t had a nap and they had a cold, but a side from that we had a great time.
Teo has been saying Quack quack for a while now, but until now I haven’t been able to get in on the camera. Super cute!
The kids LOVE the play structure that Noni and Bubbles gave them for their birthday. They really are starting to interact with each other now, it is really fun to see them playing peekaboo. In this video they hide from one each other
behind the play structure. I missed them actually playing peekaboo, I’ll try to get in on video next time.
Com podeu veure, el F i el T estan disfrutant del regal dels avis i tieta… es una de les joguines preferides!
Avui despres de la festa d’aniversari pel F i el T, els hem banyat i donat el sopar. Quan han acabat els hem posat al terra de la cuina i de cop i volta el Finian s’ha aixecat i s’ha posat a caminar. S’ha posat tant content que ha comencat a fer el seu ritual de quan esta content, de genolls, endavant i endarrera. Al cap d’una estona ha tornat a caminar una mica mes. I despres una altra vegada. Jo crec que al Teo no li falta gaire per seguir els passos del germa gran
Today after the birthday party for F & T, we have bathed them and given them the dinner. When they were done we have put them on the floor at the kitchen and all of the sudden, Finian got up and started walking. He got so happy that he started to do what he does when he is happy, going back and forth on his knees. After a little bit he walked a little bit again. And then another time. I think that Teo is very close to follow his big brother’s steps.
El Finian de vegades fa coses rares… encara no camina, pero fa una cosa intermitja entre gatejar i caminar… i de tant en tant el veiem fent postures de yoga o capoeira, deu ser que ha vist el seu pare fent exercicis per casa.
Finian is a little weird…he is not walking yet, but he does something between crawling and walking… and sometimes we see him doing some yoga/capoeira/eric fenn style postures, it might be that he has seen his father stretching around the house.

Our friend Steve gave us a walker that his children used to have. The boys are now practicing walking with it, although they sometimes also use whatever they find on the way, like a box or a chair. Thanks Steve for the walker, it’s really nice!
El nostre amic Steve ens va donar un caminador que els seus fills tenien quan eren petits. Els nens ara l’utilitzen per practicar com caminar, encara que de vegades utilitzen qualsevol cosa que trobin pel cami, com ara una caixa o una cadira.
Des de fa unes setmanes, el Finian i el Teo “ballen” quan els posem musica o cantem. Esperem que ho continuin fent per molts anys…

Uncle Elliott entertains the babies everyday with a new sound or face. They LOVE him and just want to go up and down and jump with him. Here is a video of them.
L’oncle Elliott juga amb els nens cada dia i els fa nous sons o cares. Els nens els hi ENCANTA i nomes volen pujar amunt i avall i saltar-li a sobre. Aqui hi ha un video de tots tres.
F&T are fascinated by the rumba. Until now they have been looking at it while it’s working, but now that they are more mobile, they follow it! It is really fun to look at them try it to figure it all out

Avui hem posat al Finian al “door jumper” que vam comprar de segona ma d’una familia de bessons i despres d’uns minuts de no saber que passava, el Finian s’ha posat a saltar i fer bots i s’ho ha passat de conya. Dema hi posarem el Teo, que avui estava cansat i “cranky”.
Today we have put Finian at the “door jumper” that we bought from another parent of twins, second hand. After a few minutes of not knowing what to do Finian started to jump and he had a great time. Tomorrow we will try Teo, he was a little fussy today.
Uncle Rob came last weekend to see the kids and help out. He and Daide took care of them while we were at a performance with Loosechange. Uncle (great uncle!) Rob gave them two REEEALLY COOL toys. The coolest thing is that they can dance! specially the monkey. Here is a video of the first time Rob took one of the babies “first time in a hundred years” as he said. Thanks Rob for your presents and your help, they are great!

Finian can now lift his head 90 degrees, although only for a few seconds.
Ahir vam anar a fer una caminada a Marin, una ruta que no haviem fet mai abans. Com que feia bon temps, vam treure el F i el T dels slings i van poder prendre una mica el sol. Al cami de tornada hi havia caravana, i al mig del Golden Gate Bridge es van posar a plorar histerics de gana. Per sort soc el “menjar ambulant” i els vaig donar al pit tant bon punt vam poder parar. He afegit algunes fotos que vam fer despres a casa.
Yesterday we went for a walk in Marin, a new trail that we haven’t done before. Since the weather was nice we took F & T out of the slings so they could enjoy of the sun as well. Coming back there was a lot of traffic (memorial day) and in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge they both started crying. Luckly I am the “walking food” and I fed them as soon as we were able to stop. I have added a few pictures we took afterwards at home.
Un video maco de veure. Als Estats Units, l’embaras de besson esta considerat d’alt risc i la majoria de parts es fan per cesaria. Jo vaig tenir un part natural amb anestesia. El Finian va ser el primer i va sortir de cap per avall, i el Teo va venir despres, peus avall, ajudat per les mans de la metge. A molts hospitals aixo hauria acabat en cesaria pero una de les raons per les quals vam escollir UCSF va ser per la seva experiencia en aquest tipus de parts(“breech extraction”). Va ser increible.
Nice video to watch. In the United States a twin pregnancy is considered high risk, and the majority of the deliveries end up in C-section. I had a natural delivery with medication. Finian came first, head down and Teo came second feet first, helped by our doctors hands. In most of the hospitals this would have end up with a C-section but one of the reasons why we chose UCSF was for their experience on this kind of deliveries (breech extraction). It was incredible.
Last Friday we went to Palo Alto (the farthest Fin and Teo have been) to celebrate Zain’s birthdate. They behaved so well, they were sleeping most of the time, and were fed in the car also for the first time. Yey!
Zain, here at home we celebrated your birthday, here are some pictures. Nice outfits, eh??? The pictures of the dinner are little dark, but oh well…

Yesterday Finian did his first responsive smiles to Owen who was doing silly things to him. I was lucky to be video taping at the moment (although I did it vertical…but it is worth it to turn the head to watch
it)

El Teo i el Finian van neixer el dia 2 de Marc del 2008. El Teo va neixer a les 17:34, 2 minuts despres del Finian a les 17:32. Van pesar uns 1900 i 1600 grams cadascun.
